A new series is emerging as I remain locked out of Venice.
The longing to travel is a huge one, so I seize all I can get by going through my reference and creating some new works.

Initially, I tried a couple of new approaches, which are partially conscious and unconscious.

I wanted to get a little more sketchy with these acrylic works as the Gesso panels welcome detail, but as with the experimentation process, a pleasant surprise can often be waiting to greet you.
I’ve gone away from detail, and even my usual soft, golden light and what is transforming are muted details with crisp shadows.

Who am I?

I’m going with it.
