I am thrilled to present and announce more official information about Silent Narratives, my upcoming exhibition at Queenscliff Gallery (QG).

And I’ve got a special invitation for you, so read on!

As the director of QG, my main task is to curate exhibitions and manage social media. I’m in awe of the artists Theo and I are so fortunate to work with, and it is an incredible pleasure to be able to exhibit and sell their work.

I believe the continuous management of QG artists‘ and their works has influenced my new direction.

Four stories of three works (two paintings and one etching) will form my part of Silent Narratives.

I’m thrilled to share the QG space with David Frazer and Sue Poggioli – two excellent Australian printmakers who are well-recognised for their storytelling. I’m in great company.

My four stories are about Venice and Cortona, and as a result of San Marco Dream being sold ahead of the exhibition, I’m happy to present the remaining two works in that story as a little teaser in the lead-up.

You’ll have to wait to see the remaining stories when the official preview is published to my mail subscribers and QG’s subscribers (so get on my or QG’s list).

If you are interested in acquiring a work, you are welcome to book a time to preview the works in my studio. Any acquired work must remain at QG for the exhibition’s duration, and the gallery manages all sales.

I’ll be in touch again to invite you to the QG Silent Narratives Mingle – I would love to see you in Queenscliff this December.

Silent Narratives

In Silent NarrativesDavid FrazerSoula Mantalvanos, and Sue Poggioli convey life stories of the people, places and local landscapes that have profoundly influenced their lives.

David Frazer’s intricate carving style reveals his storytelling through linocuts and wood engravings. Patterned paintings and etchings collate the travel afterthoughts of Soula Mantalvanos, while Sue Poggioli reunites acquaintances and art in reimagined scenes with quirky and richly hued prints.

Silent Narratives, an exhibition of linocuts, etchings and paintings by David Frazer, Soula Mantalvanos, and Sue Poggioli, runs from Dec 5 through to Dec 22, 2024, at Queenscliff Gallery.
